Dry, rough hair is usually the result of an unhealthy scalp. This can also lead to dandruff and split ends, unsightly problems that we all hate. Give your hair its health back with an all-natural scalp treatment. If you have excessively oil hair, dampen a cotton ball in witch hazel (available at your local vitamin shop or natural health food store). Dab the cotton ball along your hairline and part your hair. Rinse you hair thoroughly with cool water. The witch hazel draws out the oil leaving you with beautiful looking hair. If you have dandruff problem, fight the flakes with tea tree oil. Add 5 drips into your shampoo. When you use it skip the conditioner that day. Your scalp may be sensitive so use a detangler at the ends of your hair only. Always check your scalp for burns or cuts before doing a scalp treatment because they can be easily irritated.

Is your hair dull and lifeless? Do you want your hair to have volume and bounce? Well look no further than your kitchen. In a small bowl mix one egg yolk, half a cup of honey, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 small ripe avocados. Mix and apply directly to your head and hair. Leave on for 1-2 hours or until hardened. Shampoo and condition normally. Fore extra bounce blot hair dry with a paper towel. This procedure can be applied to bangs or small pieces of hair if you are short on time.

When hair is over processed it can because dull and drab. Bring some life back into your hair by giving it s shine back. Olive oil and jojoba oil can be used as a mask to reinvigorate your hairs natural beauty. To start apply 1/4 cup of olive oil or jojoba oil to hair starting at the roots all the way to the ends. Leave on for 1 hour. Additional heat from a blow dryer can be applied to the ends of your hair only to allow the oil to penetrate the hair deeper. Apply shampoo over your hair before it is wet to dissolve the oil faster.

Sun and water systems can cause hair color to fade, change or diminish. To restore and preserve hair color mix a 1/4 cup of distilled white vinegar and 1/2 cup filtered water. Pour over hair and rinse with cool water. If the vinegar emits too strong a smell add a few drops of lavender essential oils. This will keep your color from changing or fading.

So whether you want to put the bounce back in your hair or the shine back into your tresses look no further than your very own home. These home hair care remedies are easy, simple and can be used at any time to spruce up your dull, lifeless strands.
